Welcome to Temple Beth-El Sisterhood!

Temple Beth-El's Sisterhood is an organization of women who meet regularly in friendship for programs that benefit the Temple and community. The Sisterhood is a very welcoming organization. Every woman in the congregation is invited to join, participate in our activities, and offers opportunities to become a leader.

The Sisterhood serves its members, the Temple youth, our congregation, and our Jewish and secular communities.

It serves its members by creating opportunities to connect with other women, providing stimulating and educational programs, running a variety of events including Speaker from the House and Migillot Studies.

It serves the Temple youth by providing financial support for the religious school and Training Wheels, sponsoring holiday parties, presenting gifts to each Bar/Bat Mitzvah, and Confirmation graduates.

It serves our congregation by coordinating weekly oneg Shabbats and holiday onegs, financially maintaining the Temple kitchen, providing financial support for special Temple projects, operating the Judaica shop, offering visits to the sick and homebound,  sponsoring a Sisterhood Shabbat service, and decorating the bimah in the Sanctuary for many of the holidays.

The Temple Sisterhood aspires to include Jewish women of all ages who are interested in friendship, and nurturing Judaism in Las Cruces.
